Qantas has opened its new lounge at Brisbane Airport. The Qantas Brisbane International Lounge is based on the carrier’s award-winning Hong Kong and Singapore Lounge concept, with food and interior design taking inspiration from the local Queensland region.
Split across two levels, the facility is 30% larger than the old lounge. Guests will enjoy seasonal menus designed by Qantas Creative Director of Food, Beverage & Service Neil Perry at the premium hot and cold buffets, as well as a new signature breakfast hatch on the mezzanine level where chefs serve Rockpool-designed breakfast dishes to order.
Quench, a new hydration station, serves a range of non-alcoholic drinks including a signature tisane blend designed by Rockpool. The lounge also features a bar serving craft beer, premium wine and all-day barista coffee by Vittoria as well as a business centre, wi-fi, TVs with Foxtel and shower suites with ASPAR by Aurora skincare products.
The lounge opened to Qantas business class travellers and eligible Frequent Flyers and oneworld members 20 October.
Down the track, the carrier also plans to open a new Business Lounge and revamped Qantas Club at Brisbane Airport’s Domestic Terminal in early 2017, which will include a new Valet experience.
