Traveller Security

Campus Travel provides a thorough emergency alert and traveller tracking process to ensure the safety of your travellers while they are travelling.

Campus Travel systems can immediately track each traveller should there be an emergency such as: terrorist activity, natural disasters such as earthquake or a non-life threatening but disruptive event such as airport closures and industrial action.

"Where's our traveller?" report suite is produced immediately we are alerted to any situation requiring us needing to know where any traveller is.

  • This report is particularly useful when trouble occurs in overseas countries
  • It allows the user to identify employees at, or arriving at a trouble spot
  • It aides if there is a supplier (say airline) strike or similar
  • It can display all of the travel for a user in a nominated date range
  • It displays the contact numbers for each location the traveller arrives

There are several formats including:

  • List all of employees in a city for a date range
  • List all of the travel contact points for a traveller and date range

Our team will use details contained within the individual traveller's profile and isolated destination report to contact travellers who are located in the specific troubled area. This process has been particularly successful when clients have a mandated travel policy. As a result we assess the traveller's safety and arrange changes to their flights to remove them from the troubled area.

24/7 Service

Campus Travel provides a 24 hour global traveller support service for onward reservations or re-scheduling.

Campus Travel clients have access to the After Hours Emergency Service team servicing both domestic and international travellers 24 hours, 365 days a year.

Our After Hours Emergency Service team utilises the same technology platform as our consultants and therefore are able to access the same information and data as your dedicated consultant team.

Global Network

As a niche business within the Corporate Division of the Flight Centre Group of Companies, we are very closely aligned to Australia's leading Corporate Travel Management Company, FCm Travel Solutions. FCm Travel Solutions is a global Travel Management Company operating in 63 countries and 170 locations, with continued growth and expansion plans throughout Europe, USA, Latin America and South East Asia. This close link with FCm Travel Solutions enables us to provide on the ground assistance to our travellers as the need arises.

Two recent examples of this have been the following:

  1. Having a consultant in India issue a ticket and hand deliver it to our clients hotel in Mumbai;
  2. Having a representative from our Hong Kong office arrange a Chinese visa for a client who needed a visa in an emergency, while the traveller never left their hotel room.

The value of this global reach is only experienced in times of emergency, which we hope no University traveller will have to experience. However, if a time arises when we do need to utilise one of our overseas operations, the traveller/s concerned will no doubt be most appreciative of this service.
