Campus Travel has received a record number of applications for this year’s Travel Grant Series. A pool of almost 700 academics and students applied for the grant. A total of 230 applications were received from academics from around the country and 449 of the applications were from students.
The enthusiastic response from the education sector reiterates travel is a key enabler for our higher education leaders and students to ‘connect brilliance’ across borders.
“We’re delighted to have so many people apply for our Travel Grants this year,” Jamison Warren, Campus Travel’s Sales Director said. “Last year we had approximately 580 applications, so it’s significantly more.
“Our team understands how important travel is for the academic community in terms of allowing them to further their research, network with colleagues, present their research results or further their learning across borders. That is why we launched the travel grant initiative."
“Every week Campus Travel Consultants across Australia are booking travel for stakeholders across the education market and through these conversations we recognise the importance of the work being done during these trips.
“Similar to previous years, we’ve had an extremely broad range of projects put forward as part of the grant submission process and now it’s time to examine them one by one!”
Applications closed for the Travel Grant Series on Friday 30 September. The successful applicants will be notified by October 31 2016.
