UNSW is set to partner with The George Institute for Global Health in an innovative collaboration that will help transform lives and support marginalised communities around the world.
The two organisations have signalled their commitment to a strategic collaboration that will boost high-impact medical research capacity and address major 21st century health challenges.
Headquartered in Sydney with major centres in the UK, China and India, and projects in approximately 50 countries, The George Institute is a dynamic independent research organisation with a strong track record in clinical and public health research.
The institute targets the world’s most challenging global health issues, particularly in disadvantaged socio-demographic or resource-poor areas, with the aim of improving lives worldwide.
The partnership, which will realise the significant synergies that exist between the vision of UNSW and The George Institute, is initially expected to focus its research on areas such as health systems, services and big data; non-communicable diseases and injuries; clinical trials; and epidemiology and biostatistics.
