CATHRYN COLE // GENERAL MANAGER
Cathryn brings to Campus Travel 20 years’ experience in corporate travel management and travel payments for global organisations including Diners Club International, FCM Travel Solutions (part of the Flight Centre Travel Group), Travelex and AirPlus International. Cathryn was one of the founding team members of Campus Travel, when the brand first launched with The University of Queensland in early 2003. Since the beginning of 2015, Cathryn has been based in AirPlus International’s global head office in Germany, where she held the role of Director Global Business and Global Excellence. Prior to this Directorship, Cathryn also fulfilled senior leadership roles for AirPlus including Director of Global Excellence and Regional Sales Manager Eastern Australia.
KRISTY FENNELL-HIGGS // NATIONAL OPERATIONS LEADER
Kristy Fennell-Higgs has broad experience in the corporate travel industry including a long history of new business acquisition and growth, strategic sales management, operational management, partnerships and relationship building. She has more than 15 years’ experience in sales and operations management in the Australian travel industry and has worked with clients in the academic travel sector as part of her time with Campus Travel's parent company the Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG). Kristy spent almost nine years in the corporate travel division of FCTG, with the majority of her time
spent in sales management roles. She has an excellent understanding of the unique challenges and growth opportunities in corporate travel management including the academic market.
JAMISON WARREN // DIRECTOR OF SALES AND CLIENT DEVELOPMENT
Jamison Warren heads up Campus Travel’s national sales and client development team and has worked in the travel industry for 15 years. He has worked for Campus Travel for the past three years. Jamison overseas Campus Travel’s relationships with the brand’s mid-to-large market clients and supports Campus Travel’s team of Client Development Managers and Business Development Managers. He is responsible for ensuring client satisfaction with Campus Travel’s product, services and offering. Jamison has extensive experience implementing travel management services and technology products to academic organisations. During the past 18 months he has overseen and successfully completed the implementation of Campus Travel’s services within Macquarie University, Monash University, The University of Adelaide and The University of Western Australia.
ALEX LAIDLAW // TECHNOLOGY AND REPORTING NATIONAL LEADER
As part of Campus Travel’s focus on the integration of reporting and technology, Alex oversees all of Campus Travel’s client implementations, technology support and reporting. By having a dedicated leader to oversee these critical areas, our clients can be assured their travel programs are enhanced with the most suitable and innovative technology. As a former Account Manager and National Account Management Leader for Campus Travel for five years, Alex offers our clients an exceptional background in strategic travel program management for universities and mid-market academic organisations. This ensures clients have the right level of technology and account management support to achieve the best short and long term outcomes. Alex has excellent relationship development and people skills, as well as the business acumen required to make key travel program decisions.
BRUCE MACKENZIE // COMMERCIAL MANAGER
As Campus Travel’s Commercial Manager, Bruce is responsible for the business’s financial reporting, direction and strategic analysis. Bruce’s role is primarily focused on Campus Travel’s commercial health and direction at a national level, whilst working closely with the brand’s technology, reporting, product, sales, and client development teams to supplement client specific reporting with additional commercial insight. Bruce has worked for Campus Travel’s parent company Flight Centre Travel Group for two and a half years across roles including Team Leader and Brand Commercial Manager. Bruce has a Bachelor of Commerce - Accounting, Bachelor of Business - Tourism Management. He is also a Chartered Accountant.
SALLY GORDON // MARKETING MANAGER
Based in Brisbane, Sally has more than 16 years working across the journalism, communications and marketing sectors. She has supported Campus Travel for the past five years. Sally is responsible for driving Campus Travel’s national marketing program across print and digital channels, and ensuring any marketing activity adds value to the customer experience. Key to Campus Travel marketing is ensuring the brand is actively engaged and supporting the Australian academic community.
MARK MOONEY // PRODUCT MANAGER
Mark has been in the travel industry for 17 years, seven of which have been with Campus Travel. Mark has fulfilled the role of National Product Manager for Campus Travel for the past two years and during this time with parent company Flight Centre Travel Group has worked as both a travel consultant and Team Leader. As the brand’s national Product Manager Mark works closely with the business’ management and operations teams to ensure there is ongoing and high quality training and development modules available for staff to learn about new product, services and systems. Mark is also responsible for negotiating and delivering customer hotel programs to ensure maximum outcomes for all stakeholders.
